About this position:
Stereo D is looking for a Junior Editor to join the Toronto Editorial team. The chosen candidate will report directly to the VP of Post Production/ Editorial Supervisor.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Work with the Studio cutting room to build accurate 2D conforms for stereo timelines
  • Knowledge of file-based workflows (conform/assembly)
  • An understanding of EDL management
  • Must be detail-oriented, multi-tasking, self-directed, with ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must be resourceful, able to adapt to new situations, and to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines
  • Disseminate important information by generating guides for both internal use and external use
  • Perform other types of online work: opticals, restoration, native stereo photography fixes
    On occasions put together demonstration reels for internal and external purposes

In addition to the above responsibilities, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
  • Entry level knowledge in a wide range of editing applications (Avid, Premiere Pro, FCPX)
  • Knowledge and Experience with Windows (PC) Production Environment – Required
  • Knowledge of Stereo-related Terminology – Preferred (but we’ll teach you OUR lingo!)
  • Understanding of List Management (EDLs)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Team player
  • Quantel knowledge is beneficial but not essential. Training will be provided.
