Stereo D has an immediate opening for a Final QC Artist:
 
Overview:
 
As part of our Final QC Department, the Final QC Artist is responsible for technically and artistically evaluating all material to be delivered after stereo conversion. Working with a team, including a lead artist and supervisors, the Final QC Artist is responsible for professionally reviewing work completed to ensure that each shot maintains its project’s unique specifications required for delivery and that the shots uphold the high level of quality expected of our studio. They must be able to articulate any issues found into actionable notes, and complete work assigned in a timely manner and under strict deadlines.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing clean plate creation, clean-up work, and set extensions in stereo
  • Reviewing complex and dynamic paint clean-up - including character, dust, dirt, wire, seam and rig removal
  • Reviewing tracking (2D & 3D) and matchmoving
  • Reviewing CG elements that were put into stereo shots
  • Reviewing color correction and grain matching
  • Reviewing matte extractions - including rotoscoping, keying, tracking or a combination of methods
  • Ability to work tight deadlines and hours required for production
  • Taking direction/critiques, interpreting notes and learning/applying new skills are key parts of everyday life in our studio
 
Requirements & Preferences:
  • Compositing experience
  • Attention to detail
  • A strong understanding of 3-dimensional space
  • Excellent ability to write articulately in a clear depictive manner
  • Self-Motivated with Excellent Time Management skills
  • Previous Professional Experience in Stereoscopy is a plus
  • Accredited Post-Secondary Degree or Related Coursework ideal
