About this position:

Desktop Support at Stereo D reports to the Manager of Technology.  Responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting any workstations hardware and software related issues. The position also plays an integral role in assuring the artists can work and function on a productive level with minimal to no downtime due to technical complications.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues, including but not limited to issues with workstations, peripherals, email, printers, phones, and applications
  • Responsible for the initial setup and configuration of workstations and new users
  • Resolve tickets and requests submitted via email or on our helpdesk system in a timely manner
  • Keep asset inventory organized and up to date
  • Maintain tidy cabling standards throughout our facility
  • Assist systems staff where necessary and other duties as assigned by Manager
  • Working shift-work as needed to ensure there is always on-site coverage when required
  • Flexibility with hours is required
 
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a technical support role or related field
  • Ability to take direction positively, work well within a team and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines
  • Able to apply common-sense and logic while troubleshooting
  • Familiarity of visual effects software and post production is ideal but not required. Adobe After Effects, Nuke, and Microsoft Office are examples of common software you will encounter
  • Able to competently use a Windows 7 environment. Linux experience is a plus
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
